    3. Phillip's wife was Peggy Lee Klosterman d.o. Walter H and Eleaner L. ZAHN Klosterman per church records. Phillip J. Sprengel, 57, of 1512 S. 12th Street, died Monday morning, April 30, 2007 at Meadow View Manor Nursing Home where he had been the past three weeks. Born January 21, 1950 in Sheboygan, Phil was the son of Carol Barthel Sprengel and the late John "Jack" Sprengel. He attended area grade schools and graduated from North High School. Phillip then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969. Phil was the owner and operator of Sprengel's Sole and Heel for 25 years. He previously worked for the Jung Shoe Company. He enjoyed golfing, trap shooting, and playing cribbage. He is survived by his daughter, Tara and Mark Wagner, Sheboygan Falls; grandchildren, Tia, Alex, and Brett Wagner, Sheboygan Falls; his mother, Carol Sprengel, Sheboygan Falls; his brother, Richard Sprengel and his special friend, Jeanine Mannchen, Sheboygan; sisters, Linda and Stanley Andre, and Marti Trost, both of Sheboygan Falls, Patti and Tim Kopf, Sheboygan, and Christine and Terry Barchacky, Sheboygan Falls; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack. Private family services will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established in his name. Condolences may be emailed to the family at phillipsprengel@lippertfuneralhome.com. The Lippert-Olson Funeral Home has been entrusted with Phillip's arrangements.     3. Billings Gazette Billings, MT 4/30/2007. Christ D. Schell passed away peacefully on April 28, 2007, surrounded by his wife and children, after a courageous battle with cancer. Christ was born on March 26, 1924, on a homestead in Pretty Rock Township, Grant County, N.D., to Phillip and Elizabeth Schell. He was the youngest of seven children. He attended school at Pretty Rock School. Christ and his sweetheart, Marie Fike, eloped to McIntosh, S.D., on Christmas Eve, 1943. After living in South Dakota and Idaho, they finally settled in Billings in 1954, where they built their family home and raised their four children. Christ was a very kind, gentle, hardworking man. He was always eager to share his hospitality and wit with anyone who came into their home. Christ enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and hunting. He loved to take Marie dancing and he was a very accomplished musician. He was also a good bowler. His team took 1st place in the State Bowling Tournament in l969 for Jubilee Lanes. Christ was a member of Operating Engineers, Local 400, and retired from Long Construction in 1986. Christ is survived by Marie, his wife of 63 years; his brother, Philip; sons Jimmie (Carol) and Victor (Becky); and daughters Diana (Jesse) Abell and Cindy (Howard) Hoff. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Bill, Johnny and Freddy, by his sisters, Lizzie and Susie, and one grandson, Kenneth Joel Abell. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Smith's Downtown Chapel, located at 925 S. 27th St. Visitation will begin Tuesday, May 1, at 1 p.m. at Smith's Downtown Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Published in the Billings Gazette on 4/30/2007.

    3. Billings Gazette Billings, MT 30 Apr 2007 Harold J. Hilderman passed away April 28, 2007, of natural causes at Billings Health and Rehab Center. Harold was born to Jacob and Katherine (Hardt) Hilderman at Silesia, on Nov. 21, 1926, and was one of seven children in the family. At an early age, Harold farmed with his father. He was inducted into the Army on Jan. 19, 1951. Harold served valiantly in Korea, earning a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. He received his honorable discharge on Oct. 18, 1952, and returned to Billings. Mr. Hilderman worked briefly for Ideal Bakery before moving on to a lengthy career with Pierce Packing Company, where he remained for 32 years. Upon the closure of Pierce Packing, he turned his attention to providing carpentry, home repair and concrete work for his many friends, neighbors and relatives. In addition, Harold remained active with a variety of organizations including the American Legion Post #4, VFW Post 6774, and Purple Heart Organization, where he was a past State Commander of the Purple Heart of Montana. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patricia; son Paul (Sandi) Hilderman and granddaughter Laura and great-grandson Mathias of Jefferson City; three step children, Marcia (Dick) Larson of Eatonville, Wash., and grandchildren, Shawna and Jason Patke and great-grandchildren Simee, Cameron, Trevor and Dylan Patke; Mark (Cheri) Lantz of Redding, Calif., grandson Eric, currently finishing his junior year of college at Winchester University, Winchester, England and granddaughter Jessica in Redding; Greg (Jacque) Lantz of Redmond Wash., and Albuquerque, N.M., along with grandchildren Brian and Katie of the family home; his brother Elmer (Alene) of Spokane, Wash.; sister Ruth Yost of Billings; numerous nieces, nephews and many cousins, especially Al and Harvey Hart of California and three children from a previous marriage. Mr. Hilderman was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Linda, Edna, Helen and brother Raymond. Harold loved to go camping and fishing. Harold and Patricia were known to hook up the trailer and boat and head for their favorite camping and fishing sites. . .namely anywhere they could park the trailer and cast a line! Their travels took them across the Western United States where they enjoyed the great outdoors and made many new friends. When he wasn't camping or fishing, Harold took great pride in his gardening and growing flowers. You could always count on fresh vegetables from Harold's garden and beautiful flowers in his yard. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion and the United States Army Reserve. Memorials may be made to Food Bank or a charity of your choice.

    3. Wyoming Tribune-Eagle Cheyenne, WY 30 Apr 2007 Elizabeth Cashman 1913-2007 Elizabeth Cashman, 94, of Cheyenne died April 29 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She was born April 22, 1913, at Gault, Colo. She was a homemaker and rancher near Lookout Mountain, Colo. She married Floyd Cashman on Jan. 19, 1937, in Denver. Survivors include a son Lloyd and wife, Sharon, Cashman of Cheyenne; grandchildren and spouses, Diana and Todd Wedl of Cheyenne, Neil Cashman of Fort Collins, Colo., and Keith and Lynn Cashman of Cheyenne; great-grandchildren Brandon, Collin and Tyler Wedl, and Mason Cashman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her parents John and Elizabeth (Kieser) Sauer; a brother George Sauer; sisters Lydia Annan, Julia Wittmer, Katherine Schwab, Mary Doughman and Ruby Wittmer. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Schrader Chapel with the Rev. Kurt Borgaard officiating. Contributions in her name may be made to Meals on Wheels. Schrader Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. This is a paid obituary.

Victor was born August 2, 1915 in Sheboygan, the youngest of four boys, to Christian and Juliana (Spies) Ehlert, German-Russian immigrants. He was a lifelong, faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, having been baptized, educated, confirmed, and married there. He was a graduate of Sheboygan High School, Class of 1934. After graduation Vic began his thirty-seven year employment with Verifine Dairy, starting in the ice cream manufacturing division. It was there that he met the love of his life and also lifelong member of Trinity, Lillian Kunstmann. They were united in marriage on February 26, 1938 at the Trinity Church Parsonage. During WW II, Vic proudly served his country by enlisting in the US Navy, stationed in the Pacific Theatre aboard the USS Manatee. After his honorable discharge, he resumed his employment at Verifine Dairy as a milk deliveryman, semi driver, and retired in 1973 from the sales division. He then worked part time at the Sheboygan Glass Co. for seven years. He was a member of the Teamster's Local #75 – Retiree Club. In his younger years Vic enjoyed perch fishing on the North pier. He also took many great annual fishing trips to Canada with friends and family. After retirement Vic and Lil often traveled to Florida and attended many reunions with Vic's US Navy buddies. After nearly sixty-two years of a wonderful marriage, Lillian preceded him in death on January 24, 2000. Vic is survived by his son, Scott Ehlert of Kohler; his daughter, Julianne Ehlert of New Holstein; his grandson, V.J. Bradley Zibung and his granddaughter, Rebecca Zibung, both of Chicago; a niece, Marion (Jack) Theune of Sheboygan; and other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, John, and Edward. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Timothy J. Mech, Pastor, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ballhorn Chapels and at the church Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name. Vic's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the great staff at Meadow View Manor for their diligence and care over the years. A special thank you to Vic's faithful friends, Jake, Sonny and John, for all those Wednesday morning visits which meant so much to him. Vic will always be remembered for his great sense of humor, his quick wit, and strength of character. His loyalty to his wife through the years served as an example of the true meaning of love. He was an inspiration to his family and the values he instilled in his grandchildren will guide their lives forever. Wacker, 90, of Thornton died April 17 at the North Suburban Hospital in Thornton. Mrs. Wacker was born April 3, 1917, in McCook, Neb., to George and Katie Gettman Wagner. Her parents had immigrated to the United States from Frank, Russia, where many German families had settled. The family then moved to Fort Morgan, where she grew up and attended school. She was married to Paul C. Wacker Dec. 15, 1935, in Fort Morgan. The family lived in the Fort Morgan area until they moved to the Globeville community of Denver. She worked managing one of the largest lunchroom programs in the Denver Public Schools system, a position she held until her retirement. Mrs. Wacker was a member of the 1st German Congregational Church and later Heritage Community Bible Church .She was active in the life and ministry of her church. She was a member of the Friendly Society and the Ladies Aid. She taught all ages of Sunday school including the Confirmation Sunday School Class. She was the first woman Sunday school superintendent and a member of the May Flower Circle of friends. She quilted, did ceramics and enjoyed spending time in the mountains. She and her husband traveled extensively from coast to coast. They visited Alaska, frequented Yellowstone and attended the rededication of the Statue of Liberty. They were also able to travel to Europe. Mrs. Wacker is survived by two brothers, Benjamin Wagner of Greeley and Samuel Wagner of Denver; her daughter, Betty Weiderspon of Greeley; her son, Paul Wacker of Golden Gate Canyon; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; three brothers, Gus, George and Jake Wagner, and one sister, Esther Wagner. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Heritage Community Bible Church in Arvada. Funeria Moore Howard Chapel was in charge of the arrangements. ---

Torrington Telegram Torrington, WY Margaret Jean Schauerman September 13, 1930 - April 19, 2007 Posted: Wednesday, Apr 25th, 2007 BY: Margaret Jean Schauerman, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 19, 2007, at Hunt Nursing and Retirement Home in Danvers, Mass. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 27 at 11 a.m. at Grace Chapel of West Laramie, 324 Taylor, in Laramie. Margaret will be laid to rest with her late husband and daughter in Valley View Cemetery in Torrington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Born in Nebraska on Sept. 13, 1930, Margaret was the daughter of the late Guy and Eva (Kelly) Brown. She was raised and attended school in Veteran. Margaret married Arnold William Schauerman June 12, 1948, in Lingle. Margaret and Arnold lived in Lingle, then moved to Torrington and, in 1962, to Laramie where they lived most of her life except for a short time in Weiser, Idaho. In December 2006, she moved from Laramie to Danvers, Mass. She was employed by Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie for most of her working career. Margaret enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, reading, dancing and music. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Judy, and four siblings. She is survived by sons Rich and wife Donna of Weiser, Idaho, and Sam and wife Elizabeth of Boxford, Mass.; six grandchildren, Moncada, Curtis, Carl, Calvin, Bradley and Collin; and six great grandchildren.

    3. Billings Gazette Billings, MT 25 Apr 2007 LAUREL - Harold J. Baker, of Laurel, passed away at the Billings Clinic, April 23, 2007, at the age of 88. He was born in Wellington, Colo., on May 31, 1918, a son of Jacob Baker and Elizabeth Brenning Burnhardt. He farmed and ranched in the Yellowstone valley for many years and was later Superintendent of highways in Billings division and the surrounding areas. Harold married Helen Brundage on March 23, 1946. Mrs. Baker died in 1991. Harold was a Western man, known for his work ethic, fairness and love of country. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his son, Donald E. (Donna) Baker of Laurel; a sister, Elise Yost; brothers-in-law, Jack Yost and Bob Hammond; and numerous loved and respected nieces and nephews. He will be missed. "In tears, I saw you sinking. I watched you fade away. My heart was broken, you fought so hard to stay. But when I saw you sleeping so peaceful, free from pain, I could not wish you back to suffer that again. It's lonesome here without you and sad in every way. For life is not the same for me since you were called away. It broke my heart to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of me went with you when God took you home." Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Interment with Masonic rites will be held in the Custer Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
