Dietel seems to be the original settlement colony of the Kindsvaters- although the 1767 census of Dietel is incomplete and they don't show in the part that is available. Hi all. Is there anyone out there who uses Filezilla as their FTP program? I am attempting to build a new website using Filezilla as my FTP program. Dear Tatiana, it's a pleasure hearing from a Eckermann relative ! I went to Russia last June. Mrs. Rosemary Larson (coordinator of the Pfeifer Village's list) put me in touch with Mr. Pleeve, from Saratov Public Archive. He founded some documents from my grandparents. As I belong to the diplomatic brazilian service, I asked him to make copies of it and send it to the brazilian embassy, on Moscow. Since then, I got no more news of him, nor from the documents (I got verry worried when the fire reached thaht region, but, as far I as know, Saratov was safed !). Since my life is in such a hurry, in the last 3 months, I didn't wirte him back yet ! Unfortunatelly, I couldn't understand all of your e-mail, as some words were in cirilic alphabet. Please, keep in touch. For sure, we're relatives ! I'm also copying Carlos Schwab and Sheila Eckermann in this e-mail, who also are working on the brazilian's Eckermann genealogic tree. Best regards and a nice X-mas and a very happy new year for you, Mrs. Larson and for all other people of this wonderful list that ables us to raise our rooths ! The ancestor of my mum Jacob Eckerman 1777 of birth in 1800 has moved from колонии Pfeifer in колонию Seelman. On переписи 1811 it(he) with family already lived in Seelman. In the Internet I saw some family trees. In them there is no my ancestor Jacob Eckerman 1777. I have the items of information on Пфайферу (Pfeifer), surname Экерман Eckerman): 1767, 1798 I have photocopies of sheets переписи on a surname Эккерман (Eckerman): Пфайфер: 1834, 1850, 1857 Зельман: 1811, 1834, 1850, 1857. Anywhere has not found the information about Генрихе Экерман 1790 of birth. It(he), probably, has passed in another колонию till 1816. In 2007 I went in Saratov, in archive. Has made extracts of the metric books for 1857, 1888-1912 years You have visited in Saratov? Very much it would be desirable to contact to the people, which are interested in this surname. Tatiana.
Hello fellow Volga Germans!I have been searching for some more information on my Volga great-grandparents and without much luck. So far I have traced them, Pynatz/Igatz/Ignak/Ignok Seib and Adelheid Engel, to Obermonjou, which is where they departed for America in 1901. They arrived in Galveston, Texas, eventually settling in Ness City, Kansas. From there they made there way (1911) through Emerson, Manitoba to Edmonton, Alberta. They did have a son named Alex Seib (d. 1960s) who married Amelia Voit in and around Ramsay, MN. Otherwise to my knowledge, my grandfather and the rest of his siblings lived in Edmonton.According to the ship's passenger manifest, they were travelling to meet Pynatz's half-brother. I have been hoping to find more information with regard to their time in Russia - where they lived perhaps, their year of marriage, etc. As well, I'd love to locate other living relatives - perhaps this half-brother or other siblings/cousins.Thanks in advance!Jennifer > From: [email protected] > Subject: GER-VOLGA Digest, Vol 5, Issue 424 > To: [email protected] > Date: Mon, 20 Dec 2010 01:00:02 -0700 > > > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
