There is nothing on the Ft Gordon site that will take you to where you can get a booklet about the cemeteries and the town. you just have to "wing it" and contact the Fort Command Historic Center or the US Signal Center which I don't know if it still exists. I got my booklet from them about 1998. along with one that I got from Fort Bragg about the cemeteries on that military reservation. I believe that all military reservations have old cemeteries on them and they are taking care of them, no bombs, no shooting up the place, just someone to take care of them. I first found out about this from my Brother in law who was in the Army at Fort Bragg. He told me of a group that had platted all the cemeteries and told me where to call. I called and they were happy to send me a book with all the names of those buried on the reservation before it was a reservation. I did the same thing to Fort Gordon and would like to get one from other military reservations as they have a lot of information.
