The State of Georgia did not require recordings of Births and Deaths until 1921. I was born in 1918, and even though I spent 4.5 years in the Service during WWII, I had to have a created (delayed) birth certificate before I could get a passport in 1960. Birth and death records in Georgia are obtainable from Dept. of Health Offices.
