    3. This was interesting as my Dad was born in 1886, in Alabama. I took his application for Social Security, his death certificate, my birth certificate, and other information to the Social Security office, and they did nothing for me! I'll check with the Census Bureau as you quoted. I'm the only one left in the family, and trying to obtain as much as I can on his side of the family. Thanks.
