    3. (I get the digest version and do not see letters until they've been published awhile). The considerable Jones family, some of whom are my ancestors on both sides, had the habit of passing on the same given name to many of their children, over and over. In the 1860 census of Jasper County MS there is a Seaborn Jones with family and possibly his own or his wife's mother. Chris, my note to you bounced as an incorrect address, possibly because the last part (com?) was omitted from the version I saw in the GA newsletter digest (vol. 4, issue 1). Here's the URL giving on-line census tabulations for Jasper County. MS in 1860. The date isn't close to the date you mentioned but I think you asked for all possible members of the family. http://www.us-census.org/states/mississippi/ Select Jasper County and you get a bunch of counties, with color markings where complete, starting with Jackson. Scroll to Jasper. After the alphbetical listings of surnames, the tabulations begin. I believe Seaborn is in the second tabulated list or group of those enumerated in Jasper Co. in 1860. He's probably related to the Georgia family (he was born there) -- but how close?? I have Jones ancestors on both sides of my family and they shore like to drop the same names -- over and over.
