We never know from where or from whom or when we will receive some information that will break down our brick wall or extend our information. Just this week, a lady offered to copy some information from one of her books, the section on a Harrison Moody that was married to one of my paternal great, great aunts. I offered to pay for her time and expenses. Her reply to me was she did not expect to be paid, she believes in the saying of "Pass It On". My reply was I believe in the same thing, but use a different saying "What Goes Around Comes Around", "Bread cast on the water, RETURNS!!", the golden rule we learned in school, "Do Unto Others What You Would Have Them Do Unto You" are all sayings that mean the same and are used by more genealogy researchers than any other group. Aren't we a good bunch! !!! Scanned for viruses by Blue Coat http://www.WinProxy.com/

Aren't we a good bunch! !!! Hello Hazel, So very true! Any chance the Harrison Moody you mentioned was the John Harrison Moody (1895-1986) who married Irene Mitchell? They lived in Jefferson County, Al. Bob Johnston
Hazel. What Moody line are you researching? Where were they and when? My Robert A.Crowder married Phoebe Moody, 1815, in Mecklenburg, County VA. She was the dau of William or Arthur Moody, VA. ( I have seen his name listed as William and Arthur. DAR records have him as William) They had the following children: Giles Norman Crowder, b.19 Mar 1819, VA, d. 20 Jul 1907, Halifax County, Virginia - Henry Moody Crowder, b. 09 Nov 1817, VA, d. 19 Jan 1905, Salem, Lee Co., AL - Mary Crowder, b. 29 Oct 1820, VA, d. 12 Jun 1839 - John Marshall Crowder, b. 09 Nov 1821, VA d. ? Henry Moody was a brother of William Moody. There is a book, "Francis Moody, his descendants and Ancestors of 1892", but I have not been able to locate a copy. Phoebe and Robert divorced and he then married, Eleanor Jane Robertson, my ancestor. I do have a great deal on Henry Moody Crowder, as Eleanor and her children moved to Lee Co, AL to be near him. Do you recognize any of these names?
