We have been trying to Place an Unknown--*JAMES MONTGOMERY* who "ALA.ARCHIVES-shows there-[1817-1819],..."He had Famous Visitor-one***DAVIE CROCKETT***"!! Story alledges that he and *DAVIE CROCKETT* were old friends, and/or related some-how! There is an Unknown Connection to "SC"!!! Could this be the Family you refer to???? Maybe-Father of your' *WM.B.MONTGOMERY*?? Our' Brick-wall is-***CHARLES MONTGOMERY-(b.GA-circa-1795-1870)***--born unknown county,"GA",married [in-GA-about-1820]-*MARY POLLY[BROWN]-[born-"GA"-about-1800]**!! Daughter of-*JOHN ERWIN BROWN-(b.NC-ca-1760-1770)* and ELIZABETH[????]! Some of his Kids went up and Started their Families in "Jefferson & Fayette,AL"!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Extended Families went to-"Tuscaloosa county,ALABAMA-(about-1820)!!! hinton/montgomery/ brown/clements/erwin/foster/ hardy/ hargrove, amongst others.
