Were the inmates at the Milledgeville sanitarium buried in a public cemetery or were they buried on the grounds of the hospital? Is there a cemetery listing and/or are burial records available? Linda (Floyd Co., GA)

The answer is -- they were buried on the hospital grounds usually. And no, there's no listing or burial records extant. They have been lost or destroyed according to the folks I contacted. There is a project afoot to restore the cemetery, but I got the impression the records are simply gone.
