For those of you with Family Tree Maker software, in case you didn't already know this: When looking for records on married females in your files for whom you have no surname, you can change your Index of Individuals to the given name and married surname of the person by clicking on Options in lower righthand bottom of the Index of Individuals, then select Use Married Names for Females. This slows up your search some, but is most helpful in looking at the Georgia Death Index, Social Security Death Index, or searching Obituaries. You can then change it back when finished with your search by unchecking the same box. Hope this helps somebody who didn't know this. Olivia Williamson Saffold
