    3. Hi Dannye, I do think it's entirely possible we might overlap! My how far we've spread, huh? I think that the thing to do is to verify that David McLaughlin and William McLaughlin were related, and I can try to find out if David McLaughlin and George McLaughlin were, in fact, brothers. If there is anyone on the list who might be able to help out, please speak up!!! J (I'm going to re-direct this to you, AND the McLaughlin list). There was a gentleman out there on the list somewhere that sent me the information that said George and David were brothers (a month or two ago), but I have not yet been able to find supporting documentation. George McLaughlin (the elder, settling in Harlem/China, Maine, a French and Indian War survivor, severely wounded at the Battle of Abrams Plains, Quebec), father of George (also in Harlem/China, Maine, grandfather of David (raised in Harlem/China, married, moved to Levant, Maine) I wish my grandmother was still alive, to see where her family came from.(she was a McLaughlin.g-grandaughter to David) -David From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, November 29, 2006 11:36 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [IRL-ANTRIM] Info Request: George McLaughlin David: We might just connect. I've never had any luck pushing back any further my ancestor William McLaughlin born 1784 in Maryland. William married Susannah Tuck in 1809, and they had a son Josiah Tuck McLaughlin. William married second in 1830 to Lucy Hood in Wilkes Co., Ga., and moved to Troup County, Ga. William died Jan. 18, 1841 in Troup County, I believe. Josiah Tuck McLaughlin married in 1823 in Oglethorpe Co., Georgia to Mary Ann Jane Jordan and they had a son George Thomas McLaughlin, who was my great-grandfather, born 1852. George Thomas McLaughlin was the father of my grandmother, Martha Isabel McLaughlin who married Thomas Gibson in 1901. Do you think there's overlapping here between your McLaughlins and mine? I think it sounds possible. Thank you for sending the information. I hope you will let me know more. Dannye
