Hinton Jr. and I live in Quitman La my line of Hinton's came from Johnston Co, NC a Jesse Hinton C: 1761 Who left JOCO, NC around 1812 and came to Greene County that became Perry Co in 1820. Miss and his son Hugh came on to north central Louisiana, Woodville. Around 1830. I have much more about these Hinton's. There is quiet a bit of information about Colonel John Hinton in print I have several different copies of information from different sources one was published in 1915 in the North Carolina Booklet Published Quarterly by the North Carolina Society Daughters of the Revolution Raleigh, NC. The article I am referring to was written by Mary Hilliard Hinton about Co. John Hinton. This came from the Smithfield Library now I think it's called the Heritage Center. Mary Hilliard Hinton is a granddaughter of David Hinton born in 1770. I have found some additional Information on my Ancestry.Com web search in my Family Tree Maker Program. I am sending it along as an attachment to you. John. If anyone else has additional information let me know. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Dorthy Hinton Sent: Saturday, November 18, 2006 1:32 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [HINTON] HINTON I believe the JOCO, NC is Johnston Co NC.
