Subject: Re: Emailing:---***HARDY HILL & JACOB HINTON-(b.NC-ca-1760) Ga.henry.htm Hello BJ, You are correct Jacob Hinton was a son of Malachi Hinton Sr & Sarah (Wimberly). Jacob Hinton married Sarah Sally Stallings 1 Jan 1792 JoCo., NC, bm: Zadok Stallings, and had a whole bunch of children, which I have all of them named by name. Let me know if you want their names. Also I have copy of Jacob Hintons LWT. Hardy Hinton also was a son of Malachi Hinton Sr & Sarah (Wimberly), and married 27 April 1798 Wake Co., NC to Clara Alford. Hardy Hinton was born 1780 JoCo., NC, d. 1840 Stockbridge, Henry Co., GA. Clara (Alford) Hinton was born __, d. 1830 Stockbridge, Henry Co., GA and had two KNOWN children: (1) William Gaston Hinton, b. 7 Sept 1813 Wake Co., NC, d. 6 Dec 1893 Henry Co., GA, md 15 May 1839 Henry Co., GA to Elizabeth Ann (Merritt). (2) Delaney Hinton (no other info on her). According to A Special Publication of The National Genealogical Society, Gone To Georgia, p. 136, the Hintons in Georgia for 1820. Wood Hinton (200010-20010-0). Wood Hinton was living in Mecklenburg Co., VA in 1782, and died there ca 1794. Some of the family appear to have moved to Georgia during the 1790s. John Hinton bought 3 April 1799 of Nathaniel Bradford, land in Jackson Co. In 1820, Wood Hinton was enumerated in Jackson and the 1850 census showed (#708, 700) Wood Hinton, b. in Virginia 1790, and William Hinton, born in Virginia 1790, and William Hinton, b. in Georgia 1800. Others enumerated in 1820 were Jacob and James Hinton of Clarke County; Lewis of Walton Co; Peter a Revolutionary soldier and Thomas of Elbert Co; Christopher, Henry and Thomas of Warren Co; and James, John and Noah of Wilkes Co. Hinton from North cCaroline were living in the Ceded Lands (Wilkes Co) in 1773. The family intermarried with the Lanes who moved to Wilkes Co from Wake County, NC and are found seated in various counties of Southside Virginia as well as the northern tier of NC Counties from the 1750s. Hope this will help. Lorene -------------- Original message from "Ayers, B.
