05DEC06 Greetings MISS. ANDREA: LIST: As far as we know All of our' *MONTGOMERY'S* were in ALABAMA by-(circa- 1830)! That is our Brick wall; we have NOT been able to confirm which of the "MONTGOMERY SON'S" Are of "whom we spring from"? What we know: (1)- The Below *CHARLES MONTGOMERY* - (b. JACKSON COUNTY, GA-circa- 1795- 1870) - Has signed Documents in "TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL" - as-"CHARLES"-as "JAMES'-and as "JMC"?? (2)- Several Alabama Documents, and CENSUS' show where he list his Father as -*JAMES MONTGOMERY* - of JACKSON COUNTY, GA.! (3)- He was a Long Time Close Friend and Neighbor-[in Alabama] of Our' gggrandfather -*REV. JOHN HINTON*- (b. JOCO, NC- circa- 1790-1843)! (4)- Our' gggrandmother- *EASTER (MONTGOMERY)- HINTON* - (b. GA- circa- 1797-1870) - was said to be His--- "SISTER" ---, or other Close Relative?? (5)- *CHARLES MONTGOMERY* - Was the "Administrator/ Executor" - for our' *JOHN HINTON* Estate @ His death in - (1843)-! What we have been told and seen in our' Short time in Researching, is that the "EXECUTOR" - [back then] was generally a Family Member, or a very Close friend. *CHARLES* and *EASTER MONTGOMERY*, were Apparently Very Close, Because after Our' *JOHN HINTON'S* DEATH, there were Several Mentions of Him taking Care of *EASTER* and the Family! The problem has been that the Names- *CHARLES* and *EASTER* - DO NOT Fit The Children of - either *JAMES MC* nor *HUGH MONTGOMERY*, unless they used Middle Names?? What do you know of the other *MONTGOMERY FAMILIES* in "JACKSON COUNTY, GA.?? Seems like we saw a "CENSUS" or other Document where there were -Three (3) JAMES MONTGOMERY??? Do you know anyone with the "MONTGOMERY-DNA PROJECT"; We are interested in the "DNA TESTING", But with Limited Funds, Can Not afford it? We are *MONTGOMERY* on three (3) - sides: (A)- *RUBY FRANCES (MONTGOMERY) -AYERS* - (b. AL- 1918) - [Our' Mother] - *HOMER MONTGOMERY* - (b. circa 1880-1920?) & *NAOMIE (HINTON) -MONTGOMERY* -(b. AL- cira-1888-1953! (B)- The above *EASTER (MONTGOMERY) -HINTON*! (C)- And by the Inter- Marriage Of- *JOHN MONTGOMERY* - (b-NC- circa 1785-1870) & *MARGARET (BEGGET) - MONTGOMERY* - [Both of MECKLINBURG/ CHARLOTTE, NC] - A Great Uncle - [HINTON] - Married one of His Daughters!!! What ever Intel or Light you may shed on this Brick wall would be greatly appreciated.
