Some sources say that, JAMES MC.-was Commanded with the of the "Operations of a- FERRY from the FORT PEACHTREE", Hauling EQUIP & SUPPLIES for the ARMY, Up and Down the "CHATTAHOOCHEE RIVER", Operated a "ROAD-HOUSE", and Later "JAMES MC" & Brother "HUGH" both got into Local Politics! (2)- A Brother- *HUGH MONTGOMERY* -(b.SC-circa- 1868)- FOUGHT IN THE -WAR OF -1812- also, HUGH Was a Government SURVEYOR Thru INDIAN TERR. to-[what was THE "MISS. TERR."] And Later an - "INDIAN AGENT" for the GOVERNMENT. At one time he was assigned to the GA/ TN. BORDER AREAS-[This area Later- became the town of "CHATTANOOGA, TN."]!! What we are Looking for is *ALABAMA-CONNECTIONS* thru their Kids, and/ or other "MONTGOMERY Relatives"??? And the Brick wall of the *WAXHAWS, SC & MECKLINBURG, NC* - MONTGOMERY- Connections???
