    3. Looking for *DAVIS* who settled in "TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA" areas. MERRY CHRISTMAS BA-[in NORTH GEORGIA] -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Linda Davis Sent: Thursday, December 07, 2006 1:50 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [GAWILKES] DURHAM/LINDSEY (VAR.SP.) POSS.WADEREYNOLDS/RUNNELS/MALONE Well, this is the thought that came to my head after reading your posting. My Lewis Cookson Davis served in the Revolutionary War and on his pension application he stated that he was born in Hanover County, VA. He married Sarah Anderson and he with her family moved to Wilkes County, GA. That family intermarried with other Wilkes County, GA families that came from Granville, NC. After many years of research by many of Old Lewis' descendents, we have come to the conclusion that the Davis family in Granville, NC is the same as Lewis Cookson Davis' in Hanover, Va....they connect. So, after saying that.....look at Granville, NC. Just a thought.
