    1. [GEORGIA] Info on Roberta
    2. James Walton Roberts When James "Jim" Walton Roberts was born in Georgia to Henry and Margaret Smith Roberts on July 1844, who would,ve known that he,d die 82 years later in 1926, on that very same date? And live a interesting colorful life. His Roberts descendants had moved to Georgia from South Carolina, eventually settling in Jones County where his father Henry R. Roberts was born, March 9, 1819, died January 3, 1899. On July 20, 1839 , in Muscogee County, Georgia, he married Margaret Smith (born June 7,, 1821 d, November 27, 1889). Six of their children were born in Georgia: James Walton; Nancy Ann (born Sep 8, 1846, married Phillip J. Walker; d. Apr 13, 1897) Thomas Jasper (b. Feb 22, 1849, D July 30, 1887); William H. "Doc" (b. Apr 16, 1851, d. Oct 10, 1892) married Harriet Vicy Hudspeth (b 1851 d. 1921) : Green Berry (b Dec 16, 1853 d. Sept 12, 1864) and Perry Webb (b Apr 2, 1856 d. July 21, 1923) married Emma Peacock (b Sept 16, 1855, d. 15, 1934). In 1856 when Jim was 12, the Roberts moved to Barbour County, Alabama where their seventh child was born. Emma (b. Apr 18, 1862 d. Sept 1, 1889) married Richard Hudspeth (b Oct 3, 1854 d. Dec 4, 1925) The cabin in which they lived still exists, although abandoned at Clopton Crossroads on Highway 10. Source: The Heritage Of Henry County, Alabama (2002) There was more to this writing but the one doing my research was unaware that I kept all info on any Roberts and as I was having her research Burch Roberts cut this article off at the end of the page. Hope to get the rest of it soon. Hope this helps someone. Pat in FL

    3. Hello Pat: Have you seen a Francis E. Roberts, b abt 1814 GA, who married Andrew Jackson Puckett in Coweta Co. GA in 1837? I can't seem to find that lady, my gg grandmother, in any of the Roberts and/or Puckett records throughout the state. For that matter, can't find him either (b 1802, SC). I would love to know their parents and families of origin. Thanks, Diane Puckett Ethridge Conroe, TX ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, December 02, 2006 12:25 PM Subject: [GEORGIA] Info on Roberta > James Walton Roberts > > When James "Jim" Walton Roberts was born in Georgia to Henry and Margaret > Smith Roberts on July 1844, who would,ve known that he,d die 82 years > later in > 1926, on that very same date?
