J. Subject: RE: MAJ. JAMES MCCONNELL MONTGOMERY-(b.GA/SC?- circa-1770- 1842) Montgomerys are found on 52 pages of my book, The History of DeKalb County, Georgia 1822-1900. I cannot possibly send you all I have collected on this family, but I have attached one chapter of the book. Please note that this book is still in print, and this chapter is protected by copyright. Also please understand that my interest in the Montgomerys is more historical than genealogical. Since several of the Montgomerys were well-known figures in Georgia history, the Georgia Archives and the Atlanta History Center have quite a bit of material on them. You also will want to search the Jackson County GAGenWeb site, as well as the GenWeb sites of all other counties where you suspect your Montgomerys lived. I also would suggest you write to Kay Bradley, who is a Montgomery descendant. Her address is: [email protected] If you have *specific* questions, please don't hesitate to ask. If I don't know the answer, I may be able to direct your search. Vivian At 09:05 PM 8/24/2006, you wrote: 19AUG06 Greetings again from an old Warhorse.
