Hi, I ran across a small puzzle recently. Joel C. GRESHAM is listed in the 1900 GA Census (age 34), with a wife (Lula) and 4 children. He was a weaver, presumably at the Atlanta Cotton Mills. By 1907, Lula was listed as a widow in the City Directory, but her (dead) husband's name was given as "Andrew J. Gresham." Since she also had a son named Arthur J. Gresham, this may just be confusion on someone's part. I tried to find a record for Joel Charles GRESHAM in Garrett's Necrology, but nothing that fit. And the GA Death Index doesn't kick in until 1919. So, just asking if anyone has ever "run into" him...he would have been rather young when he died. By the way, Garrett's very useful compilation has now been made available (online), by the AHC, at: http://garrett.atlantahistorycenter.com/ Best Allen
