They would NOT give us---"JACK"---, We had all kinds of Proof of ID, Government,Military,Law Enforcement, for me, plus all kind of Personal ID for our dearly Departed MOTHER! We were told- Basically- that we were NOT Allowed to have any Intel, outside of the basic Birth Dates, Death dates, What they called "Social Security ACTION DATES", first "S.S.CARD",When[DATE ONLY] she applied for and received "S.S.CARD in MARRIED NAME", and when she notified S.S. of her "Divorce/ Spousal Change"!!! That was it...Period, they would NOT give us any Intel on "Our Father", When/ Where they lived,"When/Where HE WAS BORN", etc!! Not even anything on GRANDMA, who lived with them after Grandpa Died!!! Not sure what you were expecting to get but all that they furnish is found on the SS-5 which costs you $27 and must be ordered by mail...
