08JAN08 The tragedy is that so many Northerners, and especially the "young people of COLOR", have such a Biased Opinion about us Southern Folk! So many think that "All White folk back then had a whole bunch of Slaves, and the big Plantation", which is so far from the truth!!! All of our Ancestors-[that we have located thus far] - were either "Indentured Servants, and/ or Eked Out a living, as ShareCroppers!! Our Ancestors-"SCOTCH/ IRISH, GERMAN, & Common English", were considered *SECOND CLASS [third class]-CITIZENS*, and were also Mis-treated!! In all of North GEORGIA we know of only two (2) "CSA-CEMETERIES" that remain, and they are constant targets of VANDLES, the rest have probably been Lost, and/ or BULL-DOZED years ago!!! Last year up in KENNESAW/ MARRIETTA, GEORGIA-[if Memory serves], a minority [??]Contractor was beginning to clear a wooded area with--Known "CSA GRAVES", adjacent to the National Battlefield, the "Bulldozer Operators could not have missed all those BONES spread over about 40-50 acres", but They CONTINUED and just pushed all the BONES in to BIG PLIES OF DIRT & BONES!! NO RESPECT FOR THE DEAD HERO'S!!! Guess what the State and County Government did-[Only after some locals complained]!!! That question goes un-answered to date, the Remains were gathered up to be Buried elsewhere, at an un-Disclosed-[to date] - Location!! Noted; This Intel has not been verified, but passed on by Locals living in that area!!! IT IS JUST--------"NOT RIGHT TO MESS WITH THE DEAD"!!!
