This is just a long shot but I never miss an opportunity to check, just should there be a clue someplace. I have a John Payne who had son William Payne(1788-1827) that died in Butts County. Georgia. William Payne married Olive Bankston (daughter of Abner Bankston of Butts County, Georgia) Any mention or know of these Paynes. Sorry but this is all I have on the family, other than the children of William and Olive.
