Alabama Power had records of the graves that were covered or moved when the Coosa River was backed up for Weiss Dam. N.E. Alabama Genealogical Society members transcribed those records. It is possible that there may be records available from TVA or Georgia Power, depending on the area flooded. Most of the records we saw were letters to family members and notes from those contacting the families. Some very good information, since some graves had no markers but through information given by family members and the older members of the community many unmarked were identified. RoseMary
