Thank you all for sharing your family photo stories. At least I know my family wasn't wacky bringing pictures of their dead realtives outside to be included in the photo. I hope to find more about this custom. Just so you will all know, the Birmingham library did respond to my request for help. [Thank you, Pat, for suggesting that.] They didn't find much on Lollard's, but the librarian found two sources of material on the itinerant photographer. The first is a book, which I am going to try and get through inter-library loan. The second is a masters thesis, which would be harder to locate. The sources are: Title: The itinerant photographer, Author(s): Chappell, George H. Publication: New York, N.Y., Schoenig & company, inc. Year: 1936 Title: Professors, itinerants and kidnappers : ininerant photography in America / Author(s): Miller, Sybil Ann. Year: 1983 Please give me a chance to find the book first before you all request it too. It's so old, there may only be a few copies of it in the country. I need it for the first part of my book and I want to finish that rather quickly. I will be glad to post some of the types of information it contains and in which library the book resides after I read it, then you will all know where to request it if you have further interest. It is very generous of you to offer to share your information, Angela. Good luck with your research! Eugenia P.S. Did you have to pay to have the librarian do this research? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Angela B Cassidy" <Angela_B_Cassidy@comcast.net> To: <GEORGIA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, December 12, 2003 3:43 PM Subject: [GEORGIA] found a book on the Itinerant Photographer > Just so you will all know, the Birmingham library did respond to my request > for help.
