Hi, I am seeking information on DAVID JOHNSTON born about 1790 in Wilkinson Co., Georgia. He was a riverboat pilot and eventually settled in Plaquemines Parish in the late 1830s. He married HANNA FREDERIKA HOFFMANN on 5 Feb. 1840 and had one son ALEXANDER HENRY JOHNSTON b. 1841. David died in 1852 and according to his will his parents and brothers and sister had died before him. I do not have much on David beyond an approximate birth year. I would love to find out about his parents, brothers and sisters, etc. So if anyone is researching JOHNSTON; please e-mail me even if you think it may not be the same family; cause you never know.
