James R. "Bob" Quillen WEST POINT - James R. "Bob" Quillen, 67, died Jan. 2, 2004, at his residence. Services will be today at 2 p.m. at First Pentecostal Church with Pastor Ben Davis officiating. Graveside services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery in St. Joseph, Tenn. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Quillen was born in Lawrence County, Tenn., to Ruby Faye Clemmons and the late James Clyde Quillen. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church of West Point and a paint co-ordinator for West Point Casket Company. Survivors include his mother, Ruby Faye Quillen of Loretto, Tenn.; wife, Helen L. Quillen of West Point; daughters, Sheryl D. Scott and Barbara Bowen, both of Aberdeen, and Sandra Hatcher of Louisville; sons, Keith Quillen of Aberdeen and Thomas Crowley of Eupora; sisters, Eleanor Wilcoxson and Betty Faye Benefield, both of Loretto, Tenn.; brothers, Jimmy Quillen of Loretto, Tenn. and Gene Quillen of Athens, Ala.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be J.P. Winter, Roy Cox, Johnny Vandiver, Skipper Livingston, Michael McPherson and Anthony Moore. Services are today at 2 p.m. at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory with the Bro. Bobby Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow at Haughton Memorial Park. Mrs. Bowen was born in Sulligent, Ala., on July 3, 1914, to the late James T. and Emma Loggains Gibbs. She was a member of East Amory Baptist Church and a retired seamstress. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, C.A. Bowen. Survivors include his sons, James C. Bowen of Edmond, Okla. and Paul Rufus Bowen of Amory; daughter, Annette Smith of Mooreville; sisters, Myrtie Bell Hill of Amory and Jimmie Nell Ivy of Cannahon, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robert D. Smith, Keith A. Smith, Terry G. Smith, Chris Conwill, Billy Calhoun and Joe Fears.
