    3. Some years ago my aunt gave me a partial (and hard-to-read) copy of an old 1915 newspaper article which references a tragedy involving two of my grandmother's cousins. I would love to obtain a complete and readable copy of the entire article. Murdered were Max MELTON and Epes MELTON (brothers) and a friend, Johnny LEAK. SOURCE: The Tri-Weekly Constitution, Atlanta, GA Tuesday, July 6, 1915 Article: OUTBREAK OF FEUD FEARED AT PROBE OF RIVER MURDER (There is a caption over the pictures which reads: "Victims in Chattahoochee River triple Tragedy" The article begins on Page Two. I can't tell from my partial copy the page on which the article is continued. Can anyone identify this newspaper and how one might go about making contact? David

    3. David, I have an old list dated 1985 of the Georgia newspapers on film at the University of GA Libraries. I see one called the Atlanta Tri-Weekly Journal; years on film - 1920; 1925 - but nothing called the Tri-Weekly Constitution. I may be wrong (it's happened before), but I suspect that the newspaper you need is the Atlanta Constitution, who perhaps called themselves the "Tri-Weekly" Constitution when it began publishing a newspaper three times a week instead of once. The University has The Constitution on film from 1868 to the present, and you can read/copy it there. It should also be no problem to get the year you need on intra-library loan, or if you are close enough, they have the Constitution on film at the main branch of the Cobb County Public Library. Good luck!
