    1. [GEORGIA] Christer Smith?
    2. Hi, In researching Christer Smith, a resident of East Point and Hapeville (in Fulton County), I note that he died on May 12, 1913. He left a wife (Sarah) and 6 older children. Is this an unusual first name, perhaps for "Christopher"? His obituary (two days later) in the Atlanta Constitution merely has "C. C. Smith." He does appear in the 1900 and 1910 Censuses. I tried to get his Death Certifcate from Vital Records of Fulton County, but they do not seem to have it. And the State records don't kick in until 1919. It would be very helpful to know the exact circumstances of his death (age 57). He was buried at Mt Zion cemetery in Hapeville, I think. Allen

    3. I don't have the name of the person that you are looking for, but do know that a young man in our school was named Chidister Johnson. Never heard that name before or since. Just another way of spelling Christer? Or Census taker spelled it like it sounded to him. This was back in the 30's.
