Here are some ideas that might help: http://www.our-domain.net/FitzRandolph/stone-wall.html Regards, John Florida www.our-domain.net/index.html
Thanks for your note RB, A good way to determine kinship is to use the Chart of Consanguinity. You'll find it at http://www.our-domain.net/consangu.html It looks as if Simon's father, listed as "O" on the chart, is also the father of Sinon's brother, whom we'll call "B". B had a son named Allen which makes him Simon's nephew. Simon had a son, whom we'll call "S" who later had a daughter whom he named Lucy. Allen and S were first cousins, since their fathers were brothers. Since Lucy is one generation removed from her father, that makes her Allen's first cousin, once removed. Now, wasn't that fun? Good luck, John ---------------------------------------------------- "R.B. HELP! Brick Wall?! Lorum (Loring) P. Brown, born 1811 according to census records, 1816 according to his Civil War records. He was born in Tattnall County, Georgia. Died between April 1862 and 1870. According to his discharge papers he was discharged because of medical reasons. We are assuming he died in Columbia County, Florida. His widow showed up in the house hold of a Son in Hillsborough County, Fla. in 1870. He married Ellenor B. Summerall before 1840in Tattnall or Effingham County Georgia. They had eight children, sis were born in Columbia County, Florida and the second chil and sixth child was born in Wayne County, Georgia. Have been un able to located who his father or motner was or if he had any brothers or sisters. Any help or suggestions would greatly appreciated. RBR rbirene@earthlink.net
I have found a family complication that I am unable to calculate the relationship between a husband & wife other than being husband & wife. Simon T. Brown's grand daughter, Lucy Brown, married Allen Marcus Brown who also was Simon T. Brown's nephew. What kin were Allen Marcus Brown and his wife Lucy Brown? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks RBR
If Allen Marcus Brown was the son of Simon T. Brown's brother, he and Lucy Brown's father are first cousins. That makes Allen Marcus Brown and Lucy Brown first cousins, once removed. Drury/Drewry Kelly/Kelley was the son of Jacob Kelly and Susannah Allen. He was probably born 1778-1780 (perhaps later). 1804 Drury Kelly witnessed a deed in Clarke Co., GA. 1809 Drury Kelly deeded land to Philip Allen in Clarke Co., GA. A Drury Kelly is shown as a soldier in the War of 1812 in 4th Regt. (Booth's) Georgia Militia. A Drury Kelly is shown on the 1820 census of Gwinnett County. What happened to Drury Kelly? Did he die or move elsewhere? Thanks, Phyllis **************Ideas to please picky eaters. Watch video on AOL Living.
