Having that site online is a great help, I don't have to do lookups, although I love to do them. I wonder if there is a site for all the military reservations' listings of the cemeteries? would anyone know? Gloria, Would you please check your records and see if you have anyone by the name of BOLAND or any other form of the name, Bolin, Bolen, Bolling, Bulien, etc. Thanks so very much. Rose Mary

They were indentured to a Jonas Brown and Company of Whitby and came over on the Marlborough with ship's master Thomas Walker. Lt. Col. Elijah Clark with the rebel army had about 300 to 400 partisans during this time and they were occupying Augusta. This was in 1780. He was a very well known Georgian. I think that is the reason he is mentioned in this book as the two Quaker settlements were in Richmond County as is Augusta. The book does not give pertinent information about his lineage, etc. and I don't think that he was Quaker. However, I could be wrong about this.

In which book is the ref. to Charles Clark? The main names I am looking for are Francis, John, Eli, or Henry. I don't think the Elijah Clark is mine but you might give us the info as it may help someone else. I would be interested in the CLARK or CLARKE names you find in the two Quaker books. Gloria, I am searching for the grave of Joseph Maddock, Quaker from Wrightsboro Ga He died 09 Apr 1794 and was buried in Warren County. This is Joseph Maddock Sr born 1720 Brandywine Creek, New Castle Co DE. Thanks Bill Maddox
Gloria, I find Jenkins and Jinkins but no Jerkins. For the record, Wrightsboro and Friendsboro were in Richmond County.
Would you please do a lookup in your Quaker Records for the surname "Jerkins." I will appreciate your help. Gloria
I apologize for putting the wrong info in "subject". I did have quite a few others but donated them to the Heritage Room at local library. I will be happy to check surnames.
I think I have stumbled upon a little gold mine on the Fannin County, Texas GenWeb site. All the biographies from "Biographical Souvenir of the State of Texas," are there ... not just for Fannin County, but the entire state of Texas. The book was published by F.A. Battey Company of Chicago in 1889. Many of the biographies are of people who came from Georgia. The biographies are on pages from the book that were scanned, not biographies that were rewritten. The quality is excellent. Here is the Web address: http://www.rootsweb.com/%7Etxfannin/s.html The biographies are wonderful even if they're not your own people. I couldn't stop reading them. Have fun ... Judy
