My research on my ggg-grandfather has led me to Georgia. I have been tracking him through census records. His name was Austin Young, b.abt 1829-1830. He was born in GA, and I have found him in the Carroll Co census records for 1840 and 1850. He married a woman with the first name of Verlinnie about 1848-1850. Where would their marriage be recorded? Are they online? And what about the birth of their first child, about the same year? Thanks so much, MeLani

I do have some information he was born abt 1775 and Married in September 27, 1800 in Wilkes County, North Carolina to Frances Combs she was born abt 1779. One son was born in Georgia that I know of at about 1814 and another born in Mississippi The one in Georgia is James Hiram Parker and the one in Mississippi is William Wesley Parker. Eldon, If you're are travelling on I-75, exit to the right to highway 54 (Jonesboro Road). Get into the left lanes; go to the second traffic light; turn left; go one block; turn left again at the bank. This will take you to Hampton Inn. We think that this is the best choice. It has a continental breakfast which is much better than most. Our friend Helen House Is the manager there. Around that area are a number of motels... members of most chainsl. All of these are very close to the archives which is on the campus of Clayton College and State University. The area has businesses of all types, including restaurants I know you'll have a wonderful and successful time. Richard Spain
