Many of the oldest graves are those of people born in New England, which was quite a surprise, but Midway was originally a Congregational [New England denomination] church. Elizabeth Whitaker
Charles Blankenship has provided us with a list of 1813 Senators. I'm trying to get on-line a listing for all the Senators or Representatives for the Counties of Georgia. If you have access to a list, please share it. Also if you know more about any of these men listed here, please share. These were obviously leaders of early Georgia and influenced the lives of all of our ancestors. In fact some of these men later had counties names after them, i.e. Matthew Talbot (1767-1827). 1813 in Georgia was a pretty exciting time -- From the Journal of the Senate of the State of Georgia, Monday, 1st November 1813. Georgia State Senators Columbia John Foster Screven William Blair Glynn Samuel Piles Telfair Thomas Watts Emanuel Stephen Swain Jefferson Solomon Wood Pulaski Henry Fulgham Tatnall John P Blackmon Wayne Allen B.
