David, I have an old list dated 1985 of the Georgia newspapers on film at the University of GA Libraries. I see one called the Atlanta Tri-Weekly Journal; years on film - 1920; 1925 - but nothing called the Tri-Weekly Constitution. I may be wrong (it's happened before), but I suspect that the newspaper you need is the Atlanta Constitution, who perhaps called themselves the "Tri-Weekly" Constitution when it began publishing a newspaper three times a week instead of once. The University has The Constitution on film from 1868 to the present, and you can read/copy it there. It should also be no problem to get the year you need on intra-library loan, or if you are close enough, they have the Constitution on film at the main branch of the Cobb County Public Library. Good luck! Hi... It is me again.....asking for some more help on the Gainey family.....Basheba Heath Gainey Hodges Rowell was my 2nd great grandmother.....and from what I have she married Henry Gainey, the son of Henry and Olive Gainey. I was wondering if there is any info like a descendant record for the Gainey family.....since Basheba married a Gainey....the Gainey family is in my tree.... Any help is appreciated.....thank you... Stephanie Grohol
Hi... It is me again asking for more information on the Rowell family....I discovered that when Basheba Heath Gainey Hodges, my 2nd great grandmother) married David Rowell, his family also became my ancestors....David was also married to Jane Howard. So David was also my 2nd great grandfather....There is some info out there that David's father was James Rowell Sr who married a Sarah Ann Raulerson. I was given some BIG help from a William Hatcher...thank you so much William Hatcher for the info that you gave me....but it now has me searching for more info on the Rowell family. If anyone can help me in my search, please do so.....appreciate any help......thank you..... Stephanie Grohol
You've probably already discovered this, but I did want to mention that if you're looking at Sarah Ann Raulerson, please be aware that there may be more than one, which, as I'm sure you've found, can make research confusing. You don't list the dates for your Sarah Ann Raulerson an I haven't followed this thread close enough to remember details, but one Sarah Ann Raulerson (1840-1922) was the daughter of Russell Raulerson. I believe she married Ezekiel M. Crawford and lived in Pierce County, GA.
