Hi... I am trying to find Sallie Gilliard in the 1930 Ware Co, GA Census...and I am having no luck so far.... I was able to locate her husband, Adolphus Gilliard, he was living with his daughter, Kizzie Purvis....but Sallie isn't with him...he was living in Irwin Co, GA....it states he is still married....Sallie didn't die until 1965.... I am assuming they are still married.....two children may live with her....Billie "Lillie", born in 1921, Ware Co, GA...and Alice Mae "Penny", born in 1924.....Sallie would be abt 50 yrs old....she might be under Josephine....not sure.... Appreciate any help....thank you.... Stephanie Grohol

J. Subject: Library Question - Answer [Question #1848012] Hello b ayers Our Ask An Archivist service is intended to answer simple, "ready reference" questions. Your inquiry encompasses a number of questions (none of them easily answered!). We would like to help you, either in the Archives at 5800 Jonesboro Road in Morrow, Georgia, or through our mail reference service. You can print a copy of a Mail Reference Request Form from our website at <www.GeorgiaArchives.org> and submit it with the proper fee. Unfortunately, we can accept only one question with each form; since this would become very expensive with the number of questions you have, it would be better if you or your representative could come to the Archives. Some of the information you are looking for actually may be found only in South Carolina records. We do have a record of commissions that reads "James Montgomery Gentln. Commission Second Lieutenant of a Company of Militia in Burke County, commanded by ditto as above & signed per ditto and ditto datd 8th Nov 1777. Recorded 15 decr 1777."
