I did still have the link after all - found it in my Civil War folder: http://www.tarleton.edu/~kjones/ALhospitals.html Evelyn Leslie Remlap, AL
One of my ancestors was also in St. Mary's Hospital and I searched for a long time and finally ran across this information online by googling, but I no longer have a link to where I found it - sorry! St. Mary's Hospital was originally in Dalton, GA and moved to LaGrange, GA in 1864. It was moved briefly to Union Springs (Macon Co., AL) on August 17th, then to Meridian, MS on November 5 and ultimately to West Point, MS. My ancestor was from Union Springs and this was on the CSA records, which is why I also had posted a number of queries regarding this hospital awhile back but no one seemed to have any information. Hope this helps. Evelyn S. Leslie Remlap, AL

If anyone knows anything about the hospital, please let us know. My ancestor, Andrew Jackson ESTES, was detailed as a nurse at St. Mary's Hospital in 1864/65 due to a wound that left him "unfit for field service". On 24 July 1864 he was on a "List of men permanently employed in St. Mary's Hospital, La Grange, GA." At the close of the war he was detailed at St. Mary's Hospital, La Grange, GA..
