Hello all, I'm researching George's from the Burlington, New Jersey area in the late 1800's/early 1900's. They supposedly lived in Philadelphia prior to this, and at one point the name was "Saint George," of which I have no knowledge. Anyone researching this line? I'm also particularly interested in learning anything about the name "Saint George" because it doesn't seem to be commonly researched, at least not from what I can find on internet genealogy sites. Would be happy to exchange information with you. The knowns at this point are: --James S. George (born ?, died 1929 in NJ) --John W. George (born 4-12-1868, died 2-11-1933, NJ) - possibly worked for Wanamaker's in Philadelphia. J--ohn W. George married Mabel Gamble and they had 10 children, many of whom died before the age of 20. Elizabeth Kemley George, one of their daughters, was my grandmother. Holly Knott HollyKnott@aol.com "... only genealogists consider taking a step backward as progress ..."
