Hello fellow George researchers... Anyone researching this George line? John W. George (b. 1868, Phila., Pa? d. 1933, Burlington, NJ), married Mabel E. Gamble (b. 1868, d. 1942). Had 11 children in Burlington, NJ. Most died before the age of 20 (Elizabeth George was my grandmother). John W. George's father was a James S. George, most likely from Philadelphia, born approximately 1845, died 1929. One of the George's was a toolmaker and one possibly worked for Wanamaker's in Phila. Family lore has it that the name was "St. George" at one point. Would love to hear from anyone who thinks we have a link. Holly Knott HollyKnott@aol.com
