I am searching for James Wesley George, b. Nov. 25, 1847 in or near Sandusky, Ohio. At about age 14, James ran away from home with another fellow named Jimmy Dean. The two made their way down into Missouri and then to Arkansas. And this during the Civil War! He and his wife, Lucretia Singleton of Arkansas, had two sons: Tony Cornelius and Edmond Singleton George and lived in Oklahoma. The sons were born in or near Springdale, Arkansas or possible Lowell, Arkansas. James Wesley was very secretive about his life for some reason. Supposedly, he ran away from home because of "the wicked step- mother". Also, he was supposed to be a championship ice skater, winning trophies etc. in Arkansas.
