Hi, I'm temporarily joining your list in order to try to help a friend try to locate her birthfather. Her name is Sandra Joyce GEORGE, dob Dec. 1946. The only information Sandra has is her birthfather's name (Thomas Marion GEORGE) , dob (Jan. 1918), that he was in the USAF, and that he was possibly born in Moultrie, GA. He may have been stationed at Craig AFB in Selma, AL, at some time. Thomas Marion GEORGE and Sandra's birthmother divorced. Her birthmother married Cecil SHERRER, and Cecil adopted Sandra when she was around nine or ten years old. The odds are that Thomas is deceased, but I haven't been able to find a listing for him on the Social Security listings. There are numerous listings on the online telephone directories for Thomas GEORGE, but I was hoping that someone on this list might recognize his name and that we could locate him faster this way. Sandra is in very poor health (six back operations and severe diabetic). She and her adoptive father had a 'falling out', and she had the courts to legally change her name back to that of her birthfather. Can anyone please help before it's too late? Thanks, Judy Lassiter
