Need information about, and ancestral information for, Lewis GEORGE and his wife Sabra WALKER. He married again after the death of wife, but I don't know the name of his second wife. There were at least two children from the first marriage: Briton/Britton GEORGE, born 6 Nov. 1804; died 6 Oct. 1882, Starke, Bradford, FL, and a daughter, name unknown. Briton was bound out after his father's second marriage, and was ill treated. He took his sister, and the two of them ran away from home, not stopping until they got to Georgia where he found a home for his sister. His sister's name was never mentioned to family members, or else forgotten. He ended up in Liberty Co., GA, eventually went to Columbia Co., FL and then to Bradford Co., FL. He was married twice: (1) Talitha FUTCH; (2) Elizabeth THORNTON, daughter of William THORNTON and Elizabeth STEWARD/STEWART (my line). Any help would be appreciated.

The Squire GEORGE in Henderson Co. was born in NC in 1797 and had a wife, Elizabeth _____, born in NC in 1800. They had at least two children, Sarah born 1820 in NC and William born 1823 in NC. In Richmond Co., NC in 1784, 1790, 1800 and 1810 is Thomas GEORGE. Does anyone have information on this GEORGE family? I am looking for information on Brackett Channel George (spelling may not be correct), born in either England or Scotland and moved to the Province of Quebec. Married a Flora Geer? Gear? He died approximately in the 1920's; she in late 1930's or early 1940's. Both were immigrants to Canada but I have not been able to locate the families. They had several children including: Leon, Mae, Flora, Bernice, Cora, Gladys, twin boys named Gerald and ? As you can see the information I have is sketchy; anything will be of help.

Hello all, I'm researching George's from the Burlington, New Jersey area in the late 1800's/early 1900's. They supposedly lived in Philadelphia prior to this, and at one point the name was "Saint George," of which I have no knowledge. Anyone researching this line? I'm also particularly interested in learning anything about the name "Saint George" because it doesn't seem to be commonly researched, at least not from what I can find on internet genealogy sites. Would be happy to exchange information with you. The knowns at this point are: --James S. George (born ?, died 1929 in NJ) --John W. George (born 4-12-1868, died 2-11-1933, NJ) - possibly worked for Wanamaker's in Philadelphia. J--ohn W. George married Mabel Gamble and they had 10 children, many of whom died before the age of 20. Elizabeth Kemley George, one of their daughters, was my grandmother. Holly Knott HollyKnott@aol.com "... only genealogists consider taking a step backward as progress ..."
