The other woman that I had her info for, I came up with the husband's name when I did what Norma said to do. So thanks for that verification!! Now can anyone get Sarah's husband??? Dear Janice: I ran your Sarah Jane Wallace and then put in the new search as I had suggested earlier -- COUNTY DATE PAGE# -- and I got a result of three people. Two were women -- Nancy Wallace and Sarah Jane Wallace -- and one was a man, Alvin Jones. If these were my family, I would suppose that Nancy and Sarah Jane might have been sisters and ONE of them married Alvin Jones on the same day in the same place. Double weddings were quite common in families in that time period. I have several in my WRIGHT family. It appears to me that one of the men didn't get put into the index for some reason. Probably the one you are looking for. I have a case like that -- when I enter Joseph Briggs STOCKING I find him, but no bride for him. If you will check my message to Melville in Tokyo, Japan, you will notice that I said "you will ALMOST always get a listing showing BOTH the husband and the wife." That "ALMOST" is a very important word in my sentence. This WI Marriage database has some problems in it. I don't know if it is Ancestry's fault, or if it is the fault of Wisconsin State, or if the counties didn't always turn in the correct data. But, regardless, having it -- even with the zits -- is better than NOT having it at all. I'm grateful for it and will work around the foibles. Good luck to you in your searching, Norma Jean Herzman Oregon City, OR
