I bought the book on ebay. it is a "cult" classic and his a pictorial and local newspaper essay on the timeframe of 1890 to 1910. the photos were taken by a local photographer, Charles Van Schaick. the tex was recorded by a father/son team, Frank Cooper and son George in a weekly paper. I didnt know that the town they referred to was Black River Falls, however. I dont know how they could make a movie out of this book. it is just a potpourri of photos and stories. Diana Morse
