Katherine: This website lists all ARC libraries (Area Research Centers) in the Wisconsin University System. You should be able to get the information you need, in the corresponding area. I have researched several with good luck, and I found them helpful. Each area has their own policies and costs, most very reasonable. http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/libraryarchives/arcnet/ ----- Original Message ----- From: KurtKathKels@aol.com To: GenWisconsin-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, August 25, 2004 12:35 AM Subject: [GenWisc] Wisconsin death certificates 1907+ Hello, I was wondering whether there was any way to obtain post-1907 Wisconsin death certificates at a cheaper rate than the state rate. Is there someone in Madison, for instance, that makes copies from microfilm? I have several certificates that I would love to order, but the cost is so prohibitive. Any ideas? The ARC libraries have the death records for Pre-1907 not Post-1907, which have to be obtained through Madison; and I'm not aware of a less expensive way to obtain them, but I wish I did.
