This book is significant as it contains quite a number of the early settlers to Wisconsin from Pommern and Silesia. This translation is a big project. Most of the books and records were destroyed during the bombing of WWII. Translation was begun in the 1940s but was not continued until now. I have found two of my ancestors in this book with the town of origin and the date they came. Since many of the Pommeranian records were destroyed during the war, this book is very valuable. If you ancestors were Lutheran, came to Wisconsin or New York from about the 1830s to 1860s they could be in here. b
