Hi, I’ve run into a stumbling block. I am hoping maybe someone can help me out. Would like to locate her on census plus connect with anyone researching her. This is what I have so far: The Teutonia Ships Passenger list shows Friedericke Koehnke age 28 with a 5 yr old son Fritz Koehnke, leaving Hamburg arriving New York Oct 16, 1869. She came with her mother brother & sister. Two other siblings came earlier. All came from Mecklenburg. She married an Unknown Cook or Koch fellow. She is still alive with residence listed as Waterburg in 1924 per her brother’s obit. No state listed in obit. All her siblings remained in Wi. No such place exists in Wisconsin so we thought maybe Waterbury. Unfortunately I cannot locate her in any census. Have located census for all her siblings. Still trying to get verified info on some of her siblings. I’ve tried Family Search & Ancestry World Tree & Heritage Quest census but no luck. Maybe I’m not looking well enough-I do not know. Kathy, Could that be Watertown, Wi., Jefferson county. There are Koch's in my husbands family. In on Obit I found it was spelled 'Cook'. Our family is Pupp/poop, Koch, Timm and Zastrow. I have some records I will ahve to check and see if we can make a connection.
