    3. One possibility--were you able to discover from the 1850 census exactly where she was living in Wisconsin? Do you know whether she was a church member and, if so, what denomination? And is there a church of that denomination in the community? If so, do its records go back to 1850? That's lots of "ifs." Just a thought. Good luck! 3. I know she was living in Walworth county in 1850 and I know where she is buried. I hadn't thought about churches ... I'll have to find which ones are the oldest in Whitewater and start there. I get back to Wisc every couple of years or so. Most of my family still lives there. I also started checking Knapp's in Walworth County and found one family that is a possible match. The oldest child is age 28 in 1850 and the next one is age 18. My Amanda, at age 25, would fit. Since she married in 1846, she wouldn't appear in the household. It's a long shot and I'm not quite sure how to confirm it. I also haven't checked probate, tho I doubt I'll find anything. Thanks for the help.
