Thanks, Rosemarie! This is all I have. This man was a great uncle of my dear friend Marlene. She's been working with computers at various libraries to trace her genealogy, but doesn't have a computer at home. Since I've had so much good luck with these email lists myself, I told her to give me some names and I'd see what I could find through an email list. I appreciate the list of counties. I think I'll locate historical societies for as many as I can and she can write to them to see if Abraham shows up in any of their records. Was the Peshtigo Fire in 1885? It is also supposed that many could have escaped the fire and just kept on going, because there was nothing to go back for, as the fire was so great. They never had a good census either, as many people came and went for the logging industries, up that way at the time. Karolyn
