Hello Rosemarie and everyone, Almira V. SCOTT born abt. 1840, NY; marr. before 1840 to Isaac N. JEFFERS, These are my Great Great Grandparents. They had two children: William JEFFERS b. about 1865, Wisconsin, was a Professor, living around Plymouth Co., WI. Also possibly a Reverand. Newton Isaac JEFFERS, (my G Grandfather), b 1867, Cedar Rapids. In 1870, Almira is living in the Horace M. SCOTT household, as well as her son, Newton and Isaac is not to be found, possible 1870, Isaac JEFFRIS he is living with some other woman, Jennie JEFFRIS, and William and a Francis, in or near (memory lapse) Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., Iowa. This Jennie and Francis, I have never ran across again. Horace M. SCOTT, born abt. 1798, NY a physician living with Isaac and Almira, 1860, Beloit, Rock Co., WI. Horace is found in Bridgewater, Oneida Co., NY - 1830 and 1840, lost in 1850. Edmund SCOTT, born abt. 1821, NY, Farmer living with Horace SCOTT, at home in 1870, at Oregon township, Dane Co., WI. Edmund is never to be found again, poss Edward in 1880, Rock Co.? my memory faded a bit on this one. John H. SCOTT born abt. 1836, NY also living in Horace household in 1870 Dane County. John marr. Alice unknown, she was born abt. 1855, IN, both parents born in Germany. They had one son. Edward. abt. 1875, IL. He is never to be found again after 1880. John's 2nd marr. Marie M. b. abt. 1868, Iowa father b. NY mother b. WI. They were married sometime around 1890. They had tow children John N. SCOTT born abt. 1892, IL Occ: Erector, machine work, only found in 1910 with John, Marie and brother: Harry H. SCOTT born abt. 1894, IL, also found 1920, with widower father; John. H., possibly a 2nd time widower ? Alice ?. Anyhow, in 1830 - 1840 Bridgewater, Horace M. SCOTT household: Almira, Edmund E., John H., all fit into the age groups for those listed with Horace. However, there seems to be a wife with Horace, I have never found a trace of her after they started listing every name in the household.
