Keep in mind that the place of burial or residence is NOT necessarily same as the place of death. If you died in another county, that county would have the death certificate, not the county of residence or the county where the burial took place. Wherever a person died...that is the county to search for death certificates. The only exception might be if they had business in two different counties where a copy of the Will and death certificate would have to be filed with the Probate courts.
