Theo Mae Massie, 84, of Chetek, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, at Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake, WI. She was born Feb. 17 1918 in the Town of Sioux Creek, Barron Co., the dau. of Jeddie & Lillian (Stoltz) Rich. She was married Sept. 11 1935, to Robert (Mike) Massie in Dallas, WI. They farmed east of Chetek until 1948 & so. of Hillsdale until 1975. After retirement they lived in Chetek. Theo was a 4-H leader with Robert (Mike) for many yrs. She was particularly proud of being a Barron Co. Homemaker Club mbr. of 50 years. She was a mbr. of the First United Meth. Church in Barron & also belonged to the Monona Cheney Ladies Ladies Circle. She is survived by sons Leonard (Marianne) Massie of Madison, WI., Adrian (Anne) Massie of Wadsworth, IL., Cecil (Debbie) Massie of Bloomington, MN.; dau. Barbara (Donald) Ely of Park Ridge, IL.; 8 grandchildren; 8 gr. -grandchildren; brother-in-law Gomer (Dorothy) Massie of Dallas, WI.; sisters-in-law Myrtle Cowin & Hazel Lindblad of Mikana, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Lois. Visitation will be held at Rausch-Rockman Funeral Home on Wed., Feb. 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. & 1 prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m. at First United Meth. Church in Barron. The Rev. Tom LaChapelle of First United Meth. Church will be officiating.
